There were 13 members present at the July 10th meeting of the Hiawathaland Corvette Association. The meeting was called to order by President Don Buskovick at 7:30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The treasurers report was read.
Old Business: The newsletter is now on the Members Only page of the website as was suggested last month. The Secretary of State dues ($35.00) were paid and we are still in process of getting all of the cards filled out for the club insurance. Don will mail cards out to those members not here.
The Straight River Days parade was good. Even more people attended the parade this year and once again our club donated lots of candy to the spectators! Nine cars participated in the parade and several members relaxed around the fire afterward at Hoffmans.
New Business: Several members are interested in next years BIG event to Bowling Green. Reservations can not be made until September so watch for more information or look at the Corvette Museum website. www.corvettecaravan.com.

There was discussion on whether or not to continue having sponsors for the club. If we discontinue, we wont have to pay taxes on that income, less postage cost and no billing etc. Sponsors do help in money used for sponsoring a family at Christmas, Young Life Cake auction .. Ron F made a motion to let sponsorships lapse; use member dues for insurance and website maintenance and fund everything else we want to do on our own. Tim Wurst seconded the motion. The motion carried.
There will be another shirt order opportunity at the August meeting.
Tim motioned to adjourn the meeting. Ron seconded. Meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Patti Hoffman, Sec/treas
